WHO ARE WE?

First Genesis Inc. operating as Sunflower Rubber & Plastic Products Mfg. was established in 1992. We started as importer of rubber bands from our factory in Thailand. In 1993, we expanded our product line to include reclosable zipper bags. Over the years our steady growth in our plastic bag business and the need to better service our customers prompted us to manufacturer some of our bags in Canada. Today we occupy a 6,000 square feet distribution warehouse and a 15,000 square feet production facility in Mississauga, Ontario. Canada. Over the last 10 years we managed to establish ourselves as one of the primary supplier of reclosable zipper bags and rubber bands in Canada. In 1999, we were nominated by Profit Magazine as one of their top 100 Canada fastest growing companies. We were proud of our achievement and we accredited our success to our staff and distributors who supported us. Our focus to deliver consistent quality products and services to our distributors has helped us built a strong foundation in Canada. At the start of the new millennium, we expanded our business into United States. Currently we have a distribution warehouse located in Columbus, Ohio. USA to service our eastern and mid-west distributors. Our commitment to provide our distributors value for their money has brought us to where we are today. We are certain it will carry our company forward for many years to come. We value your support and we will work hard to earn your business.

Our greatest assets are our loyal dedicated and conscientious staff. From our management to our associates at the manufacturing facilities, we will go “that extra mile” to assured our customer 100% satisfaction. Reclosable zipper bags and rubber bands is not a sideline for us – they are our livelihood.

OUR SERVICE

Our strategic position as Manufacturer/Importer in the North American market has helped us understand our customers’ needs better. It enables us to provide speedy service to our customers operating in our time zone. We support our customers not only with competitive pricing, but also with our extensive inventory and on time delivery. 98% of our customers in Ontario and Quebec usually receive their orders within 24 hours.  Many of our customers started doing business with Sunflower 7 years ago are still with us today. We value our customers’ support and we will continue to work hard to earn their business.

OUR QUALITY

Our primary goal is always to provide consistent quality products and services at a competitive price. From R&D to production and from production to quality control, our team of dedicated staff ensures our distributors received consistent high quality product every time. We constantly look for ways to improve and increase production and find the most effective ways to distribute our products. Sunflower products are not the cheapest in the market. We will not compromise our product quality just to win your business. That is why many distributors come back to do business with Sunflower because they know they can rely on our quality and service. 

OUR PHILOSOPHY

We believe in fairness and treating our distributors and suppliers right. Our motto is “We will not do what we do not want others to do onto us”.  Our distributors supported Sunflower because they know we do not sell to their customers. Sunflower also does not sell to everybody in the industries. We welcome distributors who are interested to work and grow with us ever though their business is small. We prefer to have one small supportive distributor than to have 10 distributors constantly trying to create a price war between Sunflower and our competitors. In situation like this, we will not do business with the distributor. What we look for is quality business, not quantity business. We know we are highly competitive in our business. If we are not competitive today, we will be tomorrow. Our management and production staff is very motivated group of professionals and we will find ways to bring our products back to competitiveness. 

OUR ACHIEVEMENT

Through God’s blessing, Sunflower’s business has continued to grow and our products have gained acceptance with our North American customers from coast to coast. Through the support of our staff and customers, we were selected by PROFIT MAGAZINE for being one of their top 100 Canada fastest growing companies with revenue growth of 1,332% for the period 1993-1998. Our city mayor, Mayor Hazel McCallion, through her letter to our company also recognised our achievement.
